Month-long spiritual discourse from March 9

Siddeshwar Swami of Jnana Yogashram, Vijayapura, will deliver a spiritual discourse at S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology in Shivbasava Nagar here for a month from March 9.
Siddarama Swami of Naganur Rudrakshi Mutt said here on Tuesday that it would be held every day from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Siddeshwar Swami would stay at Vishrant Ashram in Belgundi village, about 13 km from here. Suresh C. Angadi, MP, would arrange ‘prasadam’ for devotees visiting the ashram. Seating arrangements had been made for at least 4,000 people. A reception committee with sub-committees had been set up.
The Belagavi division of the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation would be requested to introduce direct city bus services from various localities to the venue.
Siddarama Swami said that Siddeshwara Swami had held a similar programme in the city in 2015. There had been demands for a month-long discourse thereafter.
Asked about the increasing cases of social evils in the society though there had been many spiritual and religious programmes, Siddarama Swami said that the objective of spiritual discourses was to bring about positive transformation in the lives of individuals and the whole society. He said that though social evils existed in various forms, spiritualism prevented at least some to lead a clean life.
