PATNA: Expressing dissatisfaction over union budget, Yuva RJD workers took out a protest march here on Monday and burned the effigy of union finance minister Arun Jaitley to expose the centre over non-allocation of funds for Rs 1.25 lakh crore Special package as announced by the PM.

Dozens of Yuva RJD workers, led by its chief spokesperson Ranvijay Sahu, took out a protest march from the RJD headquarters here. After reaching at the Income Tax roundabout, they burned the effigy of Jaitley to express their anger over "utter neglect" of Bihar in the union budget.

Addressing the workers, Sahu said this budget has exposed the "fraud" of PM Narendra Modi and his team. "PM had announced a Rs 1.25 lakh crore special package for Bihar during the last year's assembly polls. But there is no mention of fund allocation for the schemes/ projects listed in the special package. It is a complete fraud being committed by the centre with the people of Bihar," Sahu said and added the Yuva RJD would continue to fight for development of Bihar.

Addressing the gathering, another Yuva RJD functionary Pramod Kumar Sinha said this budget has disappointed youths as there was no special scheme for young people. He said the centre failed to provide employment to 2 crore youths per annum as promised by Modi during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
